How Do We Stay Grounded and Neutral in a Crisis?

Funny how this information comes to me, I was in the bathroom this morning wondering what topic to ask or channel about when I heard that voice in my head say, ask how to stay in control and not freak out in a crisis or uncomfortable situation.

Let’s see what they have to say…

Spirit Guides: Anytime humans are faced with a crisis or uncomfortable situation, something like a car wreck, a loved one getting hurt, losing their job, or even having someone say really mean things it can be hard to stay neutral and grounded. By neutral we mean not reacting without thinking, not jumping in the car to go to the hospital without your shoes on or not yelling at the person saying the mean things. By not being grounded when mean, your spirit not staying in your body. When someone goes into shock, their spirit leaves their body, that it why so many people report being above their body and seeing them in the wreck. The spirit has left the body to disconnect from the situation. It is much easier to handle the situation when you are connected to and part of the body. When the body, mind and spirit are all working together, you get better results.

There are two simple things to do in any kind of situation:

  • Take a couple of slow deep breaths. This slows down your adrenalin and moves the fear out of your mind making it easier to access the situation.
  • Call for your spiritual support group to help.

Taking time to work on keeping you grounded and neutral in all situations through meditation and using the two steps above will help your entire life move with more ease and grace and help you remember to breath and call for help when you encounter a crisis.

Note from Lexa: My Finding Peace & Harmony CD has a guided meditation that teaches how to ground and stay grounded as well as how to become more neutral to the situations in your life.

Being Grounded and Present in Your Body

I intended to do this first thing this morning. It is already 3:50 p.m. Where did the day go? Let’s see what my Spirit Guides have to share today? (My husband’s three pound Chihuahua, Maveric is sitting on my lap “helping”).

Spirit Guides: We want to talk today about being grounded and present in your body. The human experience was created to learn love from a physical perspective. If you are not grounded and present in your body, you cannot have the full benefits of the physical body experience. How much time do you spend day dreaming, or thinking about the past or future. If you are in the past or future, you cannot be in the present. Being in nature is the best way to ground yourself to this beautiful earth you live on. We have suggested to you Lexa to lean on a tree, since trees are so well grounded. She responded with, oh my, that would make me a tree hugger, like it is a bad thing. Being a “tree hugger” helps you be grounded more quickly than any other technique we know of. Spend some time in nature this weekend. Get your bare feet on the grass, earth or sand. Lay in the sun, your body will absorb much needed vitamins and you will raise your brains serotonin levels. Join the other tree huggers of the world and hug a tree, see just how quickly you feel a deeper connection to the earth and yourself, see just why being a tree hugger is a great thing.

Note from Lexa: Oh, they crack me up. Yes I have had that message before many times. Now when I walk our dogs, I lean, very casually, on different trees around the neighborhood. It should look like it is a very normal think to do, but since I have to climb into planters and go way off the sidewalk to get to them I probably don’t look as normal as I want to. (I am o.k. with not being normal; I just don’t want to be locked up for being crazy.)
