Trying to Change Others…
I have been having a few clients who are trying very hard to help their friends and families change. The people say they want help, call my clients to vent (about the same problem) on a regular basis, yet do not seem to be changing at all. The guidance my guides give continues to be consistent and solid on how to handle people we want to heal, change and help grow.
Spirit Guides: It is nearly impossible to change someone else. The only way a person makes a change is if they are ready and willing. The best thing you can do is to decide to support them when they are ready to change and to step back and give them room to decide to change. This could take years in some cases, but we find that the harder you push, the more resistance the other person has to changing and the longer it takes. We also find that if you are putting your energy into getting someone else to change, you are not changing and growing yourself. You are staying stuck with them. Instead of pushing, you can set an example. Allow yourself to grow and change, working on your own path and opening yourself up to new heights, raising your vibration. As you raise your vibration others feel how good it feels to be around you and start to raise theirs to match you. We have heard Lexa use this analogy and we like it:
If you spend time in a room with an Eeyore, the donkey from Winnie the Pooh who always has a bad day and everything always goes wrong for, you will start to feel sad, depressed and weighed down. If you spend time in a room with someone who is happy and upbeat, you will start to feel happy and upbeat if you don’t already. Eeyore’s energy is negative; it takes you to a lower vibration energetically. Fun and happy is a positive and takes you to a higher energetic vibration. The higher you vibrate the better you feel.
If you can decide to start letting go of changing others and work on your own happiness, you will be giving them an amazing healing simply by setting that example.
