Tips To Make This Year Better

As you bring in the New Year, we want to share with you some things you can do to have a more complete, comfortable year.
- Spend an appropriate amount of time with your friends and family. Call those people you have been meaning to catch up with. Spending time with people is the best way to learn your spiritual lesson of unconditional love.
- Reach out to create new friendships. The kind of friendship with no expectations.
- Find somewhere or someone to volunteer time with. Even if you choose to spend time on the phone talking with a lonely person with no family.
- Volunteer at least once this year to help feed the hungry. You will be amazed how much brighter your life looks.
- Take time to rest when you are tired, even if it is in the middle of the day. Twenty minutes of downtime will recharge you, making the rest of the day more efficient.
- Move your body, walking, jogging or running, it does not matter. Just move. Your body and mind will feel better.
- Say no when you don’t want to do something. The person will find someone else to do it.
- Meditate, meditate, meditate, even 10 minutes per day will make a difference in your overall peace of mind.
- Start each day by saying I LOVE MY LIFE and see how much more you start loving your life.
Your spiritual support group is always ready to talk about and/or guide you through anything you will let us help with. We look forward to being a bigger part of your life this year on a conscious level. Before you pick up the phone to call a friend for advice, ask us, see if it doesn’t help.

Hi Lexa, I also agree with all your tips. If you ever feel like checking out a new place to meditate stop by the Los Angeles Shambhala Meditation Center http://la.shambhala.org/. It would be great to practice meditation together.
